At Voorlinden, Nick Cave gets his first ever museum solo exhibition with his series The Devil - A Life
Best known as a musician, the Australian studied fine art in his earlier years. With seventeen hand-painted ceramic figures, he tells the life of the devil in the series, from his birth to his death. For this, Cave took inspiration from ‘Staffordshire flatbacks’, popular mantelpiece decorations from the Victorian period.
