Leiden is situated close to the coast and large cities such as The Hague and Amsterdam. The various airports are also easy to reach from Leiden. When arriving by public transport at Leiden Centraal station, the city centre is just a short walk away. Leiden can also be accessed by car and parking is straightforward.More information
Oegstgeest is located right next to Leiden, at walking distance from Leiden Centraal station. It takes around 10 minutes to get there by bus. Routes and timetables can be found at the Arriva or 9292 website. A parking disc should be displayed in and around De Kempenaerstraat. In the blue zone, you may park for a maximum of 2 hours.
Wassenaar is located in the Randstad region, south-west of Leiden and close to Voorschoten. Although Wassenaar does not have a train station, it is accessible by bus. Apart from the car parks at the Wassenaarse Slag (beach), there is no paid parking in Wassenaar, but there are three zones where a parking disc must be displayed. Voorschoten is located on the main train line from Leiden to The Hague, and is therefore easily accessible by train. Voorschoten has two stations, connecting Voorschoten directly with various destinations. As well as public transport by train, there is also an Arrivabus network. There is a blue zone in the centre: parking is free with a parking disc.
Katwijk does not have a train station, but it is easy to reach by bus from Leiden Centraal station. For up-to-date information or to plan your journey, see the 9292 website. Katwijk also has many car parks and parking garages. You can even park under the dunes in the Zeezijde parking garage, right by the sea!
