During the Pleintaptoe at Garenmarkt Square, top marching bands from the region, and beyond, gather each year for an evening full of rhythm, show, and spectacle. Expect impressive marching formations, energetic percussion performances, and stunning uniforms.
The Pleintaptoe is a true crowd favorite, bringing together generations on the square. Alongside the well-known bands from Leiden, we carefully invite a diverse selection of orchestras each year. The evening kicks off with a pre-program featuring young talent and local musical heroes showcasing their best. Then, the main program bursts into action with surprising performances and captivating music.
Admission is free, so arrive early to get a good spot and enjoy this quintessentially Leiden musical spectacle!
