This exhibition focuses on the travels photographer Wilke Geurds has made in recent years. From the bustling streets of Thailand and Laos, to the desert landscapes of Oman and the vast biodiversity of South America, where she traveled for three months at the end of 2024.
As an anthropologist, Wilke is always curious about other countries, people, and cultural practices. That curiosity is at the heart of this photo series. The work shown here is her personal work and invites you to glimpse into different worlds, through the lens of someone who observes attentively and meets with openness. Her street photography is never distant. She plays with light and proximity, capturing the intimacy of an encounter in brief moments.
