Café Caat Becomes Leiden’s New Spot for International Comedy Boom Chicago’s Comedy Embassy lands monthly in Leiden
On Wednesday, May 14, the very first pilot edition kicks off: a night of all-English-spoken
stand-up, featuring four top-notch comedians. From the 2025–2026 season onward,
these evenings will be a regular fixture, offering a fun night out for Leiden’s international
community—and for anyone who enjoys comedy in English.
Unlike the regular Dutch-language comedy nights at Café Caat—such as Lachstof and
Haug’s Stand-up Club—these new events will be entirely in English. Boom Chicago’s
Comedy Embassy is known for its high-energy shows and sharp comedians, and now
they’re bringing that same magic to Leiden.
