Breath of Nature

In this performance, the paintings and poems of Marlies come together with the music of Peter. Marlies recites her poetry, followed by Peter’s music, accompanied by projections of her paintings on screen.

Both Marlies’s work and Peter’s music arise from an intuitive process. In this project, Marlies’s paintings and poems formed the foundation for Peter’s compositions, which are partly improvised. For both artists, nature is a deep source of inspiration — and it is this connection that forms the essence of the performance.

They also share the experience that artistic expression leads them to a place of stillness, where the heart connects with who they truly are.
