Hooglandse Kamer duo-exhibition: Human Scale

Duo-exhibition: HUMAN SCALE
Paul Bouter lives in Leiden, Stad van Ontdekkingen. He works at the intersection of art, technology, inner reflection, and social engagement. Using stone, wood, and bronze, he transforms these into often monumental creations. The triptych shown in the exhibition balances between nature and culture. The first stone seemingly formed without human intervention. The second stone is hollowed out, and give spaces for human interpretation. The last one is clearly an artifact that reflects, captures, and holds.
Kiki Breet from Leiden teaches at the police academy and is also a photographer. With her macro lens, she invites you to lie on your stomach and see the wonderful mini worlds you can pass by with your big body and big feet. By placing tiny people in these landscapes, she brings them closer. 'Look, there is so much more than meets the eye,' her work says.
