Dewar: Celtic Folk band at 't Zandgat

DEWAR is a Celtic folk band who travel across Europe for performances. They entertain audiences at private parties, Highland Games, Irish and Scottish events, pubs, theatres, cultural centres and Celtic festivals.

With their powerful songs, enchanting ballads and rousing traditional Celtic melodies, they know how to captivate and energise audiences. Besides traditional Celtic music, they also have a varied repertoire with many of their own songs.

The group consists of experienced musicians, including Steve Dewar (vocals, guitar & bodhrán), born and raised in Scotland, Lena Dewar (vocals & violin) from the Netherlands and Dennis Delger (bodhrán & cajon) from the Netherlands. Whether performing as a duo or trio, their music and performances are passionate and come straight from the heart.

During their performances, traditional songs such as "The Star of the County Down", "Leaving of Liverpool" and "Whiskey in the Jar" often feature.
