This year, the Wereldmuseum and Pasar Leiden are joining forces to organise Pasar Leiden at a new and larger location.
The event aims to strengthen the connection between the city, local businesses, residents and communities with the aim of sharing knowledge about the Indo and Indonesian for all generations.
Programme and Activities: Pasar Leiden 2025 offers a varied programme for all ages and interests. In addition to the usual market, food courts and music performances, visitors can count on:
- Culture Corner: Outside the museum, there is room for collaborations with cultural organisations, artists and artists from the Indo and Indonesian diaspora.
- Lectures and Presentations: Intimate stage performances in collaboration with the museum, including lectures on the history and significance of Indonesian and Indo culture.
- Link with the Collection: Visitors can participate in guided tours of the Indonesian collection of the Wereldmuseum Leiden, and learn about the cultural background of the objects that reflect the history of Indonesia.
