Japan market
The annual Japan market is back, organized by Japanmuseum SieboldHuis. Experience Japan in Leiden!
The Rapenburg is once again full of Japanese stalls; from manga to prints and from kimono to cosplay. Many facets of both classical and modern Japanese culture are discussed.
In 2000, the then Emperor and Empress of Japan visited Japan Museum SieboldHuis during a state visit to the Netherlands. To commemorate this visit and his walk across the Rapenburg with then Queen Beatrix, Japan Museum SieboldHuis organizes the Japan Market every year.
Admission to the market is free. Admission to museums is not free. The fixed entrance fees apply here.
