Exhibition “There Is Always Colour – Even in the Shadow”

Despite dark periods, colour and light have remained present in my life. This realisation is something I wanted to express visually as a painter. I drew inspiration from the interplay of light and shadow in the nature around me.

I paint intuitively, with little planning, but I am constantly searching for balance in rhythm, composition and the use of colour. Each painting is built up layer by layer, in a play between what disappears and what emerges, until balance arises naturally.
