Make a note of the last weekend of July 2025 in your diary, because on 25, 26 and 27 July, the centre of Voorschoten will again be all about horses, traditions and festive activities.
Friday Evening, July 25
Kick off the weekend with music and a lively atmosphere at the bars and restaurants along the Voorstraat. Don’t miss the cheerful Paardennach (Horse Night) at Het Wapen van Voorschoten!
Saturday Morning, July 26
The traditional Paardenmarkt (Horse Market) begins at 6:00 AM on the Voorstraat. At the same time, a large annual market will be held on the Schoolstraat, Treubstraat, and Treubplein. There will be fun activities for children in Berkhout Park.
Saturday Afternoon
Catch the thrilling Kortebaandraverij (short-track harness race) on the Van Beethovenlaan. In the evening, the town center comes alive with music and festivity.
