De Schuit King's Day Festival 2024

On Saturday 27 April, De Schuit's annual free King's Day Festival will take place on the Dwarsstraat in Katwijk aan Zee.

The free festival offers a great line-up with four fantastic acts on stage:

Black Burner (12:30 - 13:15): This trio from Leiden combines grunge influences from bands like Soundgarden and Pearl Jam with bluesy guitars à la Philip Sayce. They released their self-titled debut EP in the summer of 2023, creating a veritable musical sensation. Come dance with the flames!

Socks;SportsSocks (13:45 - 14:30): This indie-ambient-punk five-piece from Rotterdam sings about the ironic existence of twentysomethings in the 1920s. With their debut EP "People Singing About People", they have already gained many fans. They have been compared to bands like Wilco, Pavement, LCD Soundsystem and Björk.

Marathon (15:00 - 15:45): This Amsterdam-based trio brings an explosive mix of shoegaze and postpunk. Their live reputation is growing steadily, and they know how to enchant audiences with their energetic performances.
