Naturalis has a new exhibition: The Forest of Suriname. Discover the nature of Suriname — the plants and animals that live there, and the people who have inhabited it for centuries.

Suriname is the most forested country in the world, but its forests are under serious threat. In the exhibition, we meet various inhabitants of the forest, including the Indigenous peoples and Maroons, who regard nature as being alive and spiritual. The Forest of Suriname is an exhibition that encourages you to listen to the voice of nature. Come and discover the story of Suriname’s forest from the perspective of all its inhabitants.
