Fireflies

In collaboration with the Center for Youth Communication Chemistry (C3), the Bio Science Park Leiden Foundation organizes the science battle 'Fireflies' during the Dutch Bio Science Week at the end of June, specially intended to fascinate primary school children with the wonders of science. The children interact with young scientists and get an idea of ​​the research they conduct. These young scientists present their research to the children, for which they receive special training. The children watch the presentations and have the opportunity to ask questions. Ultimately, the children vote with marbles for their favorite presentation and the researcher with the most marbles wins this edition of Fireflies. The afternoon will conclude festively with an awards ceremony. Practically participating in the event is free! The exact day and time can still be coordinated. The location is at the Leiden Bio Science Park. Transportation is generally at your own expense. However, arrangements are possible for particularly long distances.
