Kagermolen
The year of construction of the Kagermolen (also known as “De Kager”) is unknown, but it is believed to date from 1683 or shortly thereafter, the year in which the Kaagerpolder was also established.
The mill served as the main drainage facility for the polder until 1985. That year, an electric pumping station was built to take over this task.
The mill is located along the Laarzenpad, a trail open to the public on Kaageiland. This walking route winds through the polder landscape and starts at the De Stal Retreat Center. As the name suggests, boots are definitely a must here!
Visits are by appointment only or when the mill is in operation.
