Originally, the family business is a dairy farm, founded in 1806. Six generations ago, our ancestors became the owners of the land and the farm, and the name “De Halve Heerlijkheid” refers to that period.

A "Heerlijkheid" is a term from the Middle Ages. It referred to a territory that was subject to the authority of a person of status and property, the Lord. Since our ancestors became owners at that time and obtained hunting and fishing rights, but not all the rights and powers of a Lord, the farm was named “De Halve Heerlijkheid de Lindehoeve.”
