From June 6 through June 30, DUNA Atelier presents a new series of works by artist Louis Blondiau titled “Panorama Blondiau.” Immerse yourself in an exhibition where space is constructed through shifting perspectives and where atmosphere plays an active role.
This exhibition consists of twelve panels that together form a continuous landscape. As a viewer, you are not fixed in front of the image, but seem to move within it.
In addition to the panorama, there are various seascapes on display that are characterized by Blondiau’s scratch technique—working on a dark background to bring out the light. This results in subtle tonal variations and a strong sense of space.
Through his work, Blondiau seeks to build a bridge between European and Asian approaches to landscape, where space is constructed through shifting perspectives.
The exhibition will be on view from June 6 through June 30 at the DUNA studio, but the opening reception will take place on June 5 at 5:00 p.m.
