Kaasboerderij Van Veen is located on a historic farm dating back to 1730, where cheese has been produced for generations. Until 2017, the milk came from their own cows; today, the Van Veen family uses raw milk from a neighboring farm. Twice a week, this milk is traditionally processed into artisanal cheeses, based on the classic farmer’s cheese recipe.
Although the cheese can no longer officially be called “farmer’s cheese,” the quality and flavor remain exceptional. The farm has also been awarded the Royal Warrant (Hofleverancier), a distinction given to long-standing businesses with an important role in the region. In the farm shop, you can taste and purchase the cheeses, along with other local products.
